We started our family last year, with our beautiful, loving, and very energetic daughter Ellie Grace. She is absolutely the love our our lives and the center of our world. Ellie Grace Krull has arrived!!!
On April 21, 2008, Ellie Grace Krull was born. She joined our family just two days later on April 23, 2008. Not only did we gain a beautiful, healthy, happy new baby girl, we gained a new family-- Ellie's birth family, who we absolutely love. Here are the pictures of Ellie. Enjoy!

Our Message to You
We can only imagine the questions and choices you are facing regarding your pregnancy and your future. We hope that through all of the noise and confusion, you can find peace in the path that is right for you and for your child. We know that adoption would be an incredible sacrifice on your part and possibly one of the hardest things you have ever done. It would also be the miracle that we have been waiting for. Without the blessing of someone else’s sacrifice, such as the one you are considering, we would not be able to have the family that we have hoped for and a brother or sister for Ellie. We feel such overwhelming love for you, for your strength, and for your desire to place your baby with a loving adoptive family. We know without a doubt that you will be blessed beyond measure should you decide to choose adoption for your child.
Finding that one right couple for your child must be difficult. As you get to know us, we hope you’ll see the happiness in our marriage, and the love and dedication we have for our family, and for Ellie's birthmother and her family. We are both very much family people. Ken is from a family of five—with a younger brother and sister—and Angela comes from a family of seven—with two brothers and two sisters. Angela always gravitates toward kids and it seems like Ken was just born to be a dad. We have been amazed at how seamlessly our family expanded when Ellie arrived last year. Not only was she undoubtedly meant for our family, we were also meant to have her birthmother and her family in our lives. We have grown to love and appreciate them so much as we have spent time with them this last year. We know that Ellie will grow to love her big extended family.
We look forward to possibly getting to know you. We have come to love adoption, knowing that our children will have the love of two sets of parents (us and his or her birth parents). We are both very open people and have welcomed having a very open adoption with Ellie's birthmother. We welcome having whatever relationship you feel comfortable with, whether it be a very open or closed adoption. Whatever kind of adoption you choose, we are dedicated to teaching our child about his "other" mom and your love for him or her. Just know that we are dedicated to being the best parents we possibly can and providing a home filled with unconditional love, lots of hugs and kisses, laughter and learning.

Angela's Family Background
I grew up in Idaho. I am the fourth of five kids. Although we are very different, my sisters and I are very close. We especially like to be partners when we play games like Taboo or Pictionary, because we can practically read each others' minds.
My parents have lived in the same house since I was 2. Although the house has changed a lot over the years with remodeling and landscaping, I love the feeling of being able to go home. My mom always finds the perfect toys for the grandkids-- last summer it was a giant inflatable obstacle course in the yard. They are now working on the ultimate playground, complete with a zip line (which might be just for the adults).
Ken's Family Background
My father was a pilot and in technology sales so we moved a lot: Florida, Texas, San Diego, San Francisco, and Seattle. I was always the new kid and made friends easily.
In contrast I have lived in the same city now for fifteen years and we have no immediate plans to leave.
The guys in my family build things together. My sister and mom and I visit a lot, play games and go to exhibits.
My mom is a very creative artist and avid tennis player. My sister is in medical school. My brother (pictured with me above) was in nuclear engineering but prefers to be a Learjet pilot.
Our Hobbies & Interests
Angela and I have a variety of joint interests. We love to spend time with our friends, whether it be going out to dinner, making dinner, going to concerts or arts events, or just playing games at home. We especially enjoy board games (Settlers of Cataan and Ticket to Ride are two of our favorites) and card games. Our favorite card game is called Hand and Foot, which we have now taught to all of our friends and family. I would like to say I let Angela win, but the fact is she wins more than half of the time and I have to pretend like I am not trying very hard. We are both very competitive, although I think Angela beats me in that category.
We love ethnic food—my favorite is Thai, Angela’s is Indian or sushi. Angela is an amazing cook and does everything with style. We like to mountain bike and ski. I like to swim and Angela likes yoga, pilates and running. Angela plays the violin and hopes to teach it to our kids. We enjoy going to the theater o
r just to the movies. Angela even introduced me to contemporary ballet, and I have to admit that I actually really like it. We like to travel and take a lot of photos. We have been as far as Russia, but New York City is one of our favorite spots because we love the theater, the restaurants, and the shopping. Angela also can’t wait for her annual trip to Las Vegas with her two best girlfriends from law school—now the trip includes us husbands and the three kids.
Angela is passionate about everything she does: motherhood, cooking, her work, service. She is an amazing mother and I am constantly impressed with how much she teaches Ellie. Although she is enjoying staying home with Ellie, she dreams of starting up her law practice again after our kids are in school. This time, though, she will be starting an international adoption practice as well as some civil rights work. I have helped fund international orphanages before, and we would love to work with one in Africa.
When I have the time, I enjoy building and fixing things: houses, cars, and computers are some of my favorites. As a kid my father and brother and I used to build things, from Lego cars when I was three, to pinewood derby cars when I was nine, to actual cars when I was seventeen. Angela and I plan to build a new house someday. I have done excellent work building and remodeling homes I have lived in before, but I am not very fast at it, so when Angela and I plan our dream home we agree that we will have it built for us but with some parts unfinished so that I can 
still have something to work on.
More than anything, we both like to spend time with each other and friends and family. We are lucky to have most of Angela's family live close by. Although my family is spread out, we visit each other often and go on family vacations a few times a year.
About Angela
I fell in love with Angela when I first met her. She is beautiful and intelligent and has incredible taste. But it wasn’t until I realized what a good mom she would be that I asked her to marry me. Angela is sometimes shy, but is also very outspoken and friendly. She is an amazing friend and is always the one that her friends, and even my mom on occasion, come to for advice or just a different perspective.
One of my favorite things about Angela is that she is an amazing mother. She is so wonderful with Ellie and can get her to giggle more than anyone else. She is also a great cook. Some of my favorite dishes she makes are: chicken cacciatore, salmon with buckwheat noodles, homemade nachos (she fries the chips up herself), New Mexican rub pork with homemade sweet potato tomales (from Mesa Grill), roast. She always like to try new recipes but with her own take. She is ambitious and has decided to make and freeze her own organic baby food for our kids.
Angela likes to say that she loved college so much that she stayed for eight years. She got a degree in political science as well as a law degree from the University of Utah. After law school, she went to work for a large law firm. Although she was great at what she did, the long hours and stress ultimately led her to leave the law firm. Now, she volunteers in the non-profit/philanthropy world. She is so much happier and enjoys the fulfillment of giving back to the community. Our kids will be very lucky to have Angela as a stay at home mom.

About Ken
Ken is one of the most fun-loving, easy-going, patient and loyal people I have ever met. He is always concerned with everyone, and quick to make everyone in the room feel important. He has the amazing ability to be able to feel comfortable in any situation and be able to talk to anyone. He is also one of the smartest people I have ever known, and is truly dedicated to his family and serving in the community.
Ken has a great job that he loves. He works as a principal for a venture capital firm, which means that he invests money in small technology businesses. His job manages to bring together all the things he does well and likes to do: building technology, creating businesses, managing people and boards of companies. I really like that he works hard at his job, but, because he is a founder in the company, he never has to miss family vacations or work much on the weekends. One of his dreams has been to be a university professor. He finally got the chance to try it, by teaching one evening a week at the local university. It is proving to be a lot of work, but his students love the class.
Ken's playful side really comes out around kids. This Thanksgiving, he played the horse
and gave horse rides, four at a time no less, nearly the entire afternoon. Even though he was exhausted after a couple hours of this, he kept bucking and neying on command. I love watching Ken play with Ellie and our nieces and nephews—I am always so impressed with his patience and his ability to connect with them on their level. He can play dress up with the girls and build train tracks for the boys. He is also the first to offer to change a dirty diaper. I haved loved seeing him finally be a dad.

About Our Family
Ken and I met on a blind date. We were set up by two non-Mormon friends who thought we would be perfect for each other because we were the only two single Mormons that they knew. We instantly hit it off over sushi and pool, got engaged shortly thereafter, and were married the next year. We share many of the same interest, but are good complements to each other. Ellie's arrival changed many things and it seems like she has always been a part of our family. Although she has been our world, our family is not complete. Our siblings are our best friends and we want Ellie to grow up with that same friendship and loving family.
Growing up, my parents taught me to work hard and love through service. A lot of our family time with both of our families now is spent working on service projects, whether
it be remodeling my brother’s house or landscaping my parent’s yard for a wedding reception. These are some of the best things that my parents taught me and I want to be able to pass that down to my kids. I know it will help them to accomplish whatever it is they set out to do.
Our families also love to play. Most summers, my family rents a cabin for a week in Utah or Idaho and we go boating and play games. Our family time is made all the more fun because I have six of the greatest and funniest nieces and nephews. We are excited that our kids will have so many cousins close by and be able to spend time with their grandparents, who are so excited for us to have more kids.
Each year we alternate which family we see for Thanksgiving and which we see for Christmas, although some holidays we manage to take longer vacations and see both on one trip. Ken's family always plans great vacations, whether it be to McCall, Idaho or to Mexico or to Ireland. His parents are always game for a big family road trip or plane trip, ususally to see friends or extended family. Ken's family is wonderfully warm and fun. Ken's niece has loved having a cousin and can't wait to have more little cousins to take care of and babysit.
